The Regulatory Reporting Analyst will be involved in regulatory reporting for Jefferies’ UK and German entities. Initially focused on internal and external liquidity reporting the role will also cover capital reporting as well as any other local requirements. The role will be involved in the ongoing regulatory change program, incorporating ongoing enhancements to the reporting environment; identifying and realising control improvements and process efficiencies and implementing industry-wide regulatory rule changes to ensure compliance with all applicable liquidity and capital adequacy reporting requirements on an ongoing basis. The role may additionally be involved with ad-hoc new business initiatives and other ad-hoc requirements. 

The individual will work closely with the other Controllers teams as well as Treasury, Technology, Operations and the Front Office.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are: 

Support the internal and external reporting process through calculation of the liquidity and capital requirements, preparation of the necessary reports and relevant commentary, through to final sign-off by senior management, managing the timeline to ensure reviews and submissions are completed to schedule. Ensure that the liquidity and capital calculations are fully compliant with relevant regulations by working with relevant policy specialists. Work on enhancing the systems and processes and automation of requirements in the regulatory reporting system, taking part in projects as required by the Change function. To include identifying and prioritising issues, developing and documenting solutions and participating in functional and regression testing. Ongoing assessment, documentation and improvement of the reporting process and associated control environment. Assist with new business initiatives to assess the impact and ensure that relevant reporting (internal and external) can be maintained following the implementation of new products. Involvement in other ad-hoc initiatives.

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

Understanding of the FCA & EU liquidity and regulatory capital rules and associated reporting framework Ideally understanding and experience of the German Million Loans and Liqv reporting framework Experience with Axiom Good product knowledge across fixed income & equities Prior experience in a financial services environment Strong communication skills and team player Analytical and numerate with strong technical skills Good written and presentation skills Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing and evolving environment Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for project deliverables Control-orientated mindset
