Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to be a part of Abbeygate at Wedgwood House in supporting people through their mental health journey.

The applicant must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, a psychology degree with or above and be eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.

Within your role you will contribute to:

psychological assessments, formulations and interventions under the supervision of a Clinical psychologist. you will help to develop and deliver psychologically informed group work and will have access to your own CPD. you will assist in clinically related administration including audits and collection of statistics and will also contribute to teaching. you will receive weekly supervision from a qualified Clinical Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

Role summary:

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the Directorate, across all aspects of care; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams' policies and procedures. To assist in clinically related administration, teaching and project work. To take part in research; to collect, input and analyse routine data and to report this to clinical teams, managers and others; to liaise with clinical teams across the directorate. Under the direction of a practitioner to assist in care clustering in relation to Payment by Results on admission and discharge.
