Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the BCUHB Central CHC Team.

We would like to recruit a Band Specialist Occupational Therapist to be based in Colwyn Bay Community Hospital. This post is for hours per week on a permanent basis and will cover both Conwy and Denbighshire.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to support the CHC team to provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within the community. Significant and current experience of working within physical health is essential as is a passion for moving and handling and posture care as an autonomous practitioner.

The post holder will provide supervision to junior Occupational Therapy staff within the wider service and support their learning and development. The post holder will lead service development projects within the team and may contribute specialist skills to service developments and education sessions within the organisation. This can include attending meetings and leading in, audit, evidence based practice research and service evaluation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
