GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to work in Schools across Sheffield (S9). Whether you are looking for long-term positions or day-to-day assignments, we have placements available in a wide range of schools to suit your career goals.

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons; plan and prepare the syllabus according to the national curriculum, and support students across the Key Stages. This role also involves working closely with students, providing focused one-to-one and small group support to help them achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic maths lessons for Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Use real-world examples to make abstract concepts more relatable and understandable.
  • Track student progress, offering feedback that supports growth and improvement.
  • Create an inclusive classroom where all students feel confident and supported in their learning.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the school community and curriculum.

Requirements of the Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • A degree in Mathematics or a relevant field.
  • Experience preferred with Secondary Schools.
  • Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
  • DBS on the Update Service required.
  • Passion for teaching and motivating young learners.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in simple and engaging ways
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
