Mechanical Technician Base Maintenance Nights

Atthis level the post holder requires a good understanding of theconstruct of the approved Technical Information set and iscompetent to work unaided to approved data maintenance instructionsand in accordance with the organisation s Maintenance OrganisationExposition (MOE). Demonstrates the ability to analyse and diagnosefaults to equipment & assemblies follow diagnosticprocedures and work effectively within a team provide guidance toless experienced team members in a diverse and dynamic operationalenvironment
CoreActivities
- Undertakeand complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities onaircraft systems/components which may include as appropriateAircraft Ground Handling Flight Servicing s Aircraft role changesembodiments component removals inspections repairs modificationsfault rectifications replacements and/or functional/systemtest.
- Demonstratesa flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilitiesappropriate to the role and takes directionappropriately.
- Maintainpersonal task authorisations for working on aircraft orcomponents.
- Ensurethat maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issuesescalate asrequired.
KeyAccountabilities
- PerformanceindicatorsEnsure the effective provision of Part 145 activities by meetingdelivery targets and reporting any impact on ContinuingAirworthiness. Understand how individual actions contribute tooverall deliveryperformance.
- CompletionofactivitiesEnsure all Part 145 activities are appropriately documented andairworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT /paper based). Compile required reporting identify any issues andescalate asappropriate.
- Procedure/standardsComply with the Part 145 Exposition its associated procedures andstandards and any other Company procedures and standards asapplicable. Identify and propose changes asrequired.
- SafetyManagementSystemEnsure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are appliedto all Part 145 activities. Understand the risks associated withPart 145 and the means by which they are mitigated andmanaged.
- ManagementSystemAssuranceEnsure Part 145 activities are compliant with the AM&SGovernance and Assurance framework including supporting ProcessConfirmations and independent assurance audits. Support theresponse to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner andprovide information to support the relevant reviews. Support theimplementation of identified improvements to overcome anynoncompliance and monitoreffectiveness.
- Statutory/ Regulatory & LegislativerequirementsAble to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding andapplication of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatoryframework. Support the implementation of any Regulatorydrivenchanges into the Part 145 activities. Ensure compliance with allother requirements e.g. ITAR EaPW ISOetc.
- ContractualRequirementsEnsurecompliance with applicable contractual requirements e.g. throughsupport to contract reviews via the incorporation of requiredchanges into Part 145processes.

Qualifications
- Academicqualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance orequivalent.
- Typically2 years experience in aircraftmaintenance
- Requiresgeneral product knowledge/competency within own technical/subjectarea and a basic knowledge of those elements in otherareas.
- Awarenessof how the team integrates with others in order to achieve theoverall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding ofthe requirement for continuous improvement and itsapplication.

Qualifications Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideallyin Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent apprenticeshipAcademic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance orequivalent. Experienced and competent leader at this level.Requires a minimum of 2 years working at Technician level prior toundertaking a Supervisor role. Demonstrating breadth of experience,currency & recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) ofskills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft type orin bays.
