This post is for a Community Nursery Nurse from the health visiting or school nursing service to work in our 0-19 Duty Team. The Duty Team consists of a mix of skills aimed to support parents, children, and young people with any health concerns. It operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5 pm. Main duties of the job

The Community Nursery Nurse works as a valued member of the PHNCS Duty Team. This is a skill mixed team of Specialist Community Public Health Nurses, Staff Nurses and Nursery Nurses who are the first point of contact for professionals and service users into the service. The Duty Team provide advice, support, appropriate information and signposting.

The Community Nursery Nurses use their skills and knowledge to offer support to children, their families, and professionals, promoting health & wellbeing, assessing vulnerability and need, offering care packages to meet identified health needs.

The Community Nursery Nurse is responsible for carrying out appropriately delegated duties from the Staff Nurse or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
