SOLUTION ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an individual who takes ownership and follows through, actively promotes excellence, and is willing to question the existing norms when improvement is necessary. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the scoping, designing and presenting of solutions to clients and their staff through discussion, written proposals, formal presentations, whiteboard workshops and diagrammatic storyboarding. 

As a Solution Architect, you will work with cross-functional teams, as well as collaborate with developers and internal teams on current and future roadmaps.

The successful Solution Architect must keep up with emerging technologies, and supervise the activities of less experienced team members or other colleagues to maintain operational feasibility through analysis, problem definition, solution development, and propose a solution.

Key responsibilities:

Leading in designing, assessing, specifying, costing and down-selecting IT solutions in support of the development of the clients solutions.  Supporting Enterprise Architects in developing and maintaining a model of the current and future IT systems architecture, integration and solutions roadmap.  Supporting bids and business change in estimating cost and preparing business cases for IT solutions, including partnering with account managers across our supply chain to ensure value for money and commercial compliance for all solutions proposed and delivered. 

SOLUTION ARCHITECT REQUIREMENTS

Experience of COTS product deployment and integration design and delivery Experience creating and maintaining HLD documents with associated collateral (design specs, assessment papers, visual topologies, data flows and use case descriptions) Experience with supply chain liaison for pricing and requirements assessment.  Knowledge of VMWare (vSphere/Horizon) Knowledge of Citrix (VDI and App Presentation) Knowledge of SharePoint Knowledge of Oracle “Web Suite” and P3M (P6/EPPM) Knowledge of data loss prevention, protective marking, cross domain data management and network protection Knowledge of web app presentation and load-balancing Knowledge of service integration Knowledge of security integration Knowledge of License models, including MS Ent Agreement and SPLA.
