As we continue to grow, we are looking for a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.


About the role

In this role you will support our production team by ensuring the safe and efficient running of production at the Shefford and Bedford sites. You will help improve productivity by reducing downtime through robust implementation of plant maintenance and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for responding to breakdowns in a timely manner, implementing improvements and preventative maintenance tasks, supervising onsite contractors, necessary admin duties and participating in project work and audits. You will have a high regard for health and safety and adhere to set maintenance schedules and procedures.

About you

To be successful in this role you ideally have:

  • Rounded engineer with an electrical bias.
  • Hold relevant qualifications/certifications or apprentice trained.
  • Knowledge & experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding experience, Mig, Tig and MMA Welding. (Desirable, but not essential)
  • Computer literate; particularly with MS Word and Excel.
  • Compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing facility where a timely response is essential.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Proactive approach, able to take initiative to support production team to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised and able to work in time-critical environments.
  • Flexible approach to work and hours and is a team player.
  • Analytical, problem solver and solution focused.
  • Organised, can arrange resources necessary to complete a task.
  • Assertive, able to give clear polite instructions whilst remaining calm under pressure.
  • Readily takes responsibility and able to make decisions.
  • Friendly, approachable and can communicate at all levels.
  • Enjoys a challenge.
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights.
  • Will work in accordance to our site Code of Conduct.
  • Full valid driving licence.
