Cloudscaler workwith highlysecure private defence and government customers onmissioncritical programmes of work. This means that these positionsrequire frequent onsite presence. It also means that SC clearanceis required. Upon joining Cloudscaler we will undertake SCclearance checks so you must be eligible to pass SC clearance. Infuture DV clearance is likely to be required so theability/willingness to pass DV clearance is advantageous but notessential.

What werelooking for

We are looking for AWSArchitects with extensive landing zone knowledge. For us this meansexperience of designing and operating enterprisescale landing zoneswithin AWS. It also means you need an understanding of the keysecurity risks that are present when operating workloads within AWSand how to design a best practice landing zone to mitigate theserisks.

We are thought leaders so ourArchitects need to be opinionated about IaC structure andmodularisation controls and guardrails network patterns and how toarchitect appropriate and scalable Cloud solutions with the abilityto assess tradeoffs with designoptions.

What youll be doing

You will be working closely withour customers key stakeholders designing and providing thetechnical governance over the delivery of significant workloads onthe cloud.

You will be defining theinfrastructure network and security design along with the design ofplatform tooling services and will set the technical standards thatdefine what good looks like for all services putting checks inplace to ensurecompliance.

  • Understanding complexrequirements and designing secure scalable and resilient platformson AWS
  • Designing and providing the technicalgovernance over the delivery of significant workloads on thecloud
  • Architecting complex systems andplatforms enabling them to run seamlessly at scale includingdefining the infrastructure network and securitydesign
  • Designing solutions to prevent detectand remediate key security risks that are present when usingAWS
  • Setting the technical standards that definewhat good looks like for all services and put checks in place toensure their compliance
  • Designing anddelivering workloads using a wide range of AWS services including;AWS Organizations CloudTrail SecurityHub GuardDuty IAM and IAMIdentity Center
  • Providing technical leadershipto crossfunctional teams defining technical direction and strategyof teams andsystems
