Darcy House Care Home is looking to appoint a Laundry Assistant.

Our brand-new, luxury care home is located in the beautiful town of Matlock in Derbyshire.  We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative & Nursing care for 78-residents.

As Laundry Assistant, you will provide an efficient and effective laundry service that fully meets the needs of residents, along with high standards set to work in a care home.

Laundry Assistant Contract

  •                                                                         £11.44 per hour.
  •                                                                         Contracted to 37.5-hours per week.
  •                                                                         5.6 weeks annual leave (Full-time)
  •                                                                         Pension.
  •                                                                         Onsite parking.
  •                                                                         Uniform provided.
  •                                                                         DBS.

Responsibilities

  •        Provide high quality laundry service for all linen and resident's personal clothing
  •        Ensure the laundry is cleaned to a high standard in compliance with specific guidelines and schedules
  •        Respect and always maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information
  •        Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements, ie. Health & Safety, COSHH
  •        To check that all residents personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair, and returned to the correct resident
  •        All equipment used is in full, safe working order
  •        Always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur
  •        Be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to staff meetings, attend training sessions, and ensure the care home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
