We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to support the newly developed Trauma Informed Service working with the North Lincolnshire Local Authority Family Support Service.

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if there is 40 applications or more

Main duties of the job

As an Assistant Psychologist within the team, you will be involved in undertaking assessments with children and families, school based observation, undertaking psychometric assessments, co-working cases with qualified clinicians and family support workers and providing therapeutic support where appropriate; thus enabling you to utilise and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

The new Trauma Informed Service within North Lincolnshire is a multi-agency team of professionals from health and the Local Authority. the team will work with families where young people have adverse life experiences and are at risk of offending or being excluded from school due to their presentation.

An Honours degree in Psychology (BSc), experience of working with mental health/psychological problems and good communication skills are all essential requirements. The applicant should have access to transport and the ability to travel within the required geographical area. The post holder will be offered training, professional support and supervision.
