About this opportunity

Your work environment : At our Wisbech site, you will be a key member of the engineering and operational team
we are looking for an engineer to work at our can making facility based in Wisbech, the role will support a team of engineers to work on both re-active and proactive maintenance of our equipment. You will also support covering as and when required on the shop floor as this role is part of the wider production team.

Your mission in Eviosys 

To provide engineering resource to the factory with a hands-on approach. This will include maintenance, trouble shooting, fault finding, precision setting of the machines in the production lines whist ensuring work is done safely and effectively. This is to maximize line performances as well as achieve quality and spoilage targets for the plant.

About you
You will have a professional background within engineering and ideally within a manufacturing facility, with minimum 4 years’ working experience within an engineering role. Minimum qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/ONC in Engineering (or equivalent).

You will also experienced with the introduction and the implementation of continuous improvement tools. You will be someone who is an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. You also are process and problem-solving oriented. You are fluent in English.

Attractive Shift Pattern (37.5 hours per week – Mon-Fri only, Rotating 2 week shifts - one week of early shifts, and one week of late shifts of either 6:00 to 14:00 -then- 14:00 to 22:00, Fridays 06:00 – 11:30 - then- 11:30 – 17:00).

The Role Accountabilities

Provide rapid and effective interventions in order to minimize the effects of any line stoppages, to meet line targets and prescribed quality standards. To coordinate maintenance activities and carry out necessary maintenance as identified by the factory maintenance system. Maintain all appropriate documentation and drawings. To support the Shift Production team in other production activities as necessary, including meal break cover. Support the autonomous production team in a range of duties such as quality assurance, materials handling, data recording and other non-engineering work as necessary. Carry out installation work as required and assist with engineering work performed by Contractors, where appropriate. To support and deputise for shift manager in his absence. Any other appropriate duties as specified by Plant Management. Initiate and progress continuous improvement and development work when possible. Train and up-date skills of other team members.
