Up to £27,000 DoE + Benefits

In order to meet growing demand, an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Assistant is required to join a leading independent distributor of UPVC Fascia, Soffit and Exterior Cladding Solutions across the UK.

Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will have previous picking and packing experience in a warehouse environment. Applications are encouraged from both candidates with a number of years' service in a similar role and those individuals looking to start their careers in this highly important role.

A "can do" attitude is essential in order to succeed in this role, alongside the ability to work as part of a team and have the flexibility to take on a diverse range of responsibilities when needed. The ideal candidate will learn quickly and is able to take instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day tasks including booking stock in and out picking customer orders and helping to unload and load vehicles with customer deliveries.
  • Occasionally you will be required to make customer deliveries as well to building sites driving a company vehicle.
  • Adhere to the company Health & Safety policy
  • Being competent and having an eye for detail
  • Occasionally serving trade counter customers
  • Ambassador for the company sometimes liaising with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.



Skills & Experience:

  • Previous warehouse experience would be a benefit
  • Ability to work on your own and also being part of a team
  • Be able to demonstrate common sense and be able to use one's own initiative within your duties.
  • Basic computer skills are a requirement.
  • A forklift licence would advantageous, but not essential as training can be given.
  • Have good time keeping skills
  • Be able to manage the daily workload with you manager
  • Product training would be given so previous knowledge of the products not essential
  • A current driving licence is required
