Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world.
Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the role will involve working with the MSVO supply base to monitor and assure the quality of the goods received. The role will include working closely with MSVO personnel within the quality, engineering and production departments, across multiply divisions, to ensure that the product supplied by the supply base is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality level.

This role could be based out of our Thetford, Huntingdon or Coventry facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of NPI process within the supply base Adding and vetting all new potential suppliers including onsite visits and audits where required Management of supplier problem resolution activity Manage investigation and corrective action processes for complex quality issues Monitor and tracking supplier performance. Support supplier reviews including on-site audits where applicable. Manage the DMN system, recording and following all DMN’s through to completion with either the supplier, customer, or internal assigned team. Liaise with process engineers to keep all production process up to date. Support internal process audits as required. Assist in maintaining the MSVO quality management systems to IATF standards, including regular systems and process reviews, as required Prepare for and attend customer and annual systems audits. Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level II Procedure manual. Skills and Experience
Experience of supplier management / improvement activity Good understanding of 8D / PPS methodology. Demonstrable competence within automotive PPAP / PSW process Knowledge of automotive quality standards, inspection methods and equipment Understanding of tooling / jig & fixture design Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes Ability to use interpret 3D CAD models and drawings Strong IT skills and ability to present data effectively Experience working in a supplier facing Quality Engineering role within the automotive or motorsport, preferably with experience in a low volume manufacturing environment Experience of working within an ISO9001 certified business Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities Full driving license Have a passport and be willing to travel as required
