Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of a full-time consultant interventional radiologist at the Department of Radiology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post is to cover sabbatical leave and is fixed term for 12 months commencing 16th December 2024.

The Department forms part of one of the most dynamic University Teaching Hospitals in the country, with an excellent reputation in patient care, research and development, and staff training/education.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities of this post include reporting vascular imaging and performing interventional radiology including vascular and non vascular work, participating in specialist NCIR on call and supporting MDTs and teaching.

To be eligible to apply for this position it is essential that you hold full GMC registration, FRCR or equivalent and are on the specialist register for clinical radiology.

Good communicator. Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Enthusiasm for service development and teaching.

Experience

Extensive Interventional Radiology experience including vascular and non-vascular work as documented by specialist training or experience at consultant level. Awareness of the role of research in clinical practice.

Completed specialist fellowship Further area of interest to compliment current service

Circumstances

Essential

Flexible outlook on working hours. Must live within a 15-mile radius of the base Trust or 30 minutes travelling time. Full Driving License.

Communications and Language Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with clinical colleagues, colleagues in pathology and support staff.
