Description:
As Software Developer your main responsibilities will involve:
•Developing large, business critical solutions
•Supporting existing functionality and expanding upon it for new feature requests
•Being innovative and creating bespoke solutions utilising a wide variety of technologies
•Writing automated tests
•Mentoring and teaching others and contributing to the continual improvement of the groups skills, knowledge and practices.
•Software release into production.
Skills Required:
*Need previous experience in Financial Services*
•Extensive experience working with a variety of technologies to an advanced level, including scripting languages (especially Python) and databases (especially. MS SQL).
•Our preferred language is Python, but we have a variety of other technologies within our portfolio such as: SQL, SSIS, .Net, Java, etc.
•Firm understanding of Agile methodologies ideally TDD and pair programming
•Proficiency in writing automated tests.
