Job summary

As a Catering Assistant you will help prepare sandwiches andsalads. You will also help to prepare meals, hot/cold snacksthat are served within ourstaff dining room, serving visitors, staff and patients. You will also be required to carry out other general kitchen duties.

Catering Assistants within the hospital have a key role in maintaining a high standard of meal provision to patients and make a valuable contribution in the wider care team that supports patients during their time in hospital. You should have good organisational and communication skills, be flexible in your approach to work whilst demonstrating an ability to work using your own initiative and work as part of a friendly dedicated team at Bridport Hospital

This post is for 25 hours per week to include every other weekend (weekend working attracts enhanced pay)

The proposed shift pattern is as follows

Week 1 Monday 07:00-15:00, Thursday 11:00 - 18:30, Saturday 07:30-18:30

Week 2 Sunday 07:30 -18:30, Monday 07:00-15:00 , Tuesday 07:00-15:00
