Functions independently to completehistory and physical data on patients; performs complete physicalexams; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriatediagnosis and treatment plan.
Orders and interpretsdiagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patientneeds.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic andnonpharmacologic treatment modalities.
Collaborateseducates and supervises Advance Practice Providers in managingacute and longterm medical needs of patients.
Maintainsand reviews patient records charts and other pertinent informationaccurately and efficiently.
Instructs and educatespatient and family regarding medications and treatmentinstructions.
Individual must be proficient in exercisingautonomy in medical decision making and providing a broad range ofdiagnostic and therapeuticservices.

Knowledge Skills andAbilities:
Knowledge of medical practice related toprimary care of geriatrics and senior living communities.
Knowledge of medical policies regulations and procedures.
Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance andquality control standards.
Ability to react calmlyobjectively and effectively in emergency situations.
Strong organizational skills attention to detail.
Stronginterpersonal skills.

Education:
Degreeof Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy(D.O.)

Experience:
Previous experiencein with geriatrics in primary care postacute care including Seniorliving SNF IPR and LTACH but not required.
Experienced orpassion for valuebased care preferred
Previous experiencein EHR documentation.
Proficiency in documenting andbilling in any setting above or in the hospitalistsetting.
Most important is a positive attitude a passionto provide quality care and an interest in joining a family ofproviders that understand the importance of a teamfirstapproach.

License/Certification:
Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State ofwhich being employed
BC/BE Internal Medicine or FamilyMedicine
Current DPS and DEA certificates (or inprogress)
