About The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for scoping, designing, and developing new areas for analysis based on evolving business requirements, including creating insightful reports that inform decision-making processes. As the superuser of the company's data model, you will utilise this tool to generate significant volumes of both regular and bespoke reports. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with IT to drive updates and enhancements to system capabilities, identifying opportunities to futureproof the finance function through improved reporting. You will analyse ad-hoc business queries using data to provide accurate and timely insights, deep diving into financial data to support various business units and inform strategic decisions.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), with significant FP&A experience and strong numerical capabilities, coupled with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve. You will have experience operating at a similar level, demonstrating strong analytical skills, the ability to build relationships with multidiscipline stakeholders, and support strategic decision-making through offering detailed insights and information. Advanced Excel skills are essential and working knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable. The ability to use or a desire to learn SQL to extract data from ERP Systems is a plus, with training provided if necessary.
Responsibilities
- Scope, design, and develop reports for new areas of analysis and review as required by the business.
- Act as a superuser for the data model created by the internal BI team.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance reports, including budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain the existing suite of reports and financial templates with a focus on global consistency.
- Provide support for report maintenance and updates when changes are made to systems or business unit structures.
- Collaborate closely with IT and BI teams to drive system updates and enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve the finance function through enhanced reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for reporting opportunities using BI software.
- Undertake other ad hoc projects as required by senior management.
- Coordinate users, lead projects, and engage directly with senior management.
