The vacancy
DN Colleges are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support team at Doncaster College. This role is integral to our commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment. You will be responsible for offering tailored support to individual learners, fostering independence, and contributing to their overall success.
Responsibilities:
Providing one to one and group support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities Collaborating with academic staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies Participate in planning and monitoring meetings to ensure student needs are met Supporting students in overcoming academic barriers Consider the safeguarding and wellbeing of students.The successful candidate will have good written and oral communication skills at GCSE level or equivalent, and be proficient in IT systems. We are looking for a team player with strong organisational skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience working with students with learning difficulties and or disabilities is desirable.
As part of the recruitment process and in-line with keeping children safe in education we will conduct social media checks on candidates that are shortlisted.

The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
