Responsibilitiesof a Year6teacher:

As a Year 6 teacher youwill be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking theirfirst steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork and cultivating aconducive learning environment.

Teaching the KeyStage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing oneach individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengthsand improving their weaknesses

Furtherdeveloping maths ability and introducing fractions statistics andgeometry

Help children develop their writingability by creating plots characters and settings forstories.

Keeping track of childrens progress andoccasionally reporting back toparents

Year 6Teacher requirements:

QTS PGCEand strong academic record

Creative imaginativedetermined resourceful and adaptablepractitioner

Passionate aboutlearning

Able to demonstrate a track record ofsuccess within a Year 6 environment

Able tocommunicate your passion to children and parents

Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in theclassroom
