The individuals you'll be supporting range in age from 23 to 65 and enjoy lots of great activities, so we're looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support people with bowls, boccia, gardening, going to the movies, swimming, cooking, baking and anything else they enjoy. The people we support have a private garden and love to spend time there socialising and growing vegetables. Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with: • Medication administration • Cooking and home maintenance • Social support and support to achieve personal goals • Managing the finances of the people we support The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships. Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday and this will include some sleepover shifts. Our shift patterns can vary, but some examples of typical shifts are 8am - 3pm, 3pm - 9am the next day (with sleepover), 2.45pm - 3pm the next day (with sleepover). We are currently recruiting for a part-time Support Worker for 16 hours per week Your values: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
