New Graduate Vet – Falkland Vet Clinic, Newbury - New   Graduate   Programme - Small Animal Vet

We have an exciting opportunity for a New Graduate Vet to join our team.

We are keen to support your development and you will have access to a wide and diverse caseload including exotics although an interest in this area is not essential. We are keen to support any specialist interest that you may have.

We are also home to amazing equipment, including laparoscopic equipment, endoscopes, harmonic scalpel & electrocautery

You will work a 4 day week, including an early finish 1 day every 2 weeks. You will also support the team in answering the on-call phone from 7-9pm but full training and support will be provided. You will work 1:7 full weekends (daytime only) and 1:7 Saturday mornings only. Time off in lieu will be given for these hours.

In addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

These are just some of the benefits of the programme:

Paid onboarding phase which includes a Residential if joining as a 1st year new graduate. All UK travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for the Residential will be covered by CVS Starting salary of £35, which increases at the end of year 1 and at the end of year 2.  No financial tie-in beyond completion of the programme. Professional memberships (RCVS & VDS). Up to 7 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays (or equivalent) with our Buy/Sell holiday scheme - allowing you to purchase an additional two weeks of annual leave Receive an extra days leave each year in your first 5 years at CVS 10 CPD days a year covering both clinical and non-clinical skills and tailored to your clinical role.
