Ourclient is one of the most respected firms of chartered accountantsin Sussex; they boast a fantastic reputation and have an excitingclient base made up of clients within the entertainment sector.These include actors and artists sports professionals bloggersvloggers and youtubers to name a few. You will have exposure tosome fascinating work servicing this prestigious clientbase.

Responsibilitieswouldinclude:
  • Liaisingand corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applicationsenquiriesetc
  • Draftingreports and letters of advice for many tax advisoryissues
  • Preparingcalculations to supportadvice
  • Liaisingwith clients and attending meetings with other teammembers
  • Trainingand reviewing the work of more junior members of thestaff
  • Providingsupport to Directors and Partners in the Tax AdvisoryGroup
Examplesof work you would assist the team withinclude:
  • Adviceand implementation of corporate reconstructions investor reliefssuch as EIS/SEIS staff incentiveschemes
  • Advisingownermanaged businesses regarding remuneration planning successionplanning
  • Preparationof research & development claims VAT returns SDLTreturns
  • Advisingindividuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation
  • Reviewingcorporate tax computations andreturns

RequirementsAsa Tax Manager you willbe:
  • CTAqualified but if you are not you must be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualifiedand keen to study towardsCTA.
  • Experiencewith corporate taxes is essential and experience in other areas oftax will alsobeneficial.
  • Youmay currently be working in an accounts/audit team with a stronginterest in tax advisory or you may already be working within adedicated taxteam.
  • HaveStrong verbal and written communicationskills
  • GoodITskills
  • Excellentteamwork and organisational skills including monitoring timetablesandbudgets
  • Stronganalytical skills and attention todetail
  • Akeen interest in learning and developing taxknowledge.

As a Tax Manager, you will be: CTA qualified but if you are not,you must be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified and keen to study towardsCTA. Experience with corporate taxes is essential and experience inother areas of tax will also beneficial. You may currently beworking in an accounts/audit team with a strong interest in taxadvisory, or you may already be working within a dedicated taxteam.
