Job overview

We have vacancies for two full time Booking Clerks in the Endoscopy CAU booking team. The team is positioned in the Endoscopy Department on the Tunbridge Wells site but coordinates the administrative pathways for patients attending for treatment in both the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Endoscopy departments.

The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to help manage the inpatient, outpatient and day cases waiting lists for a delegated number of consultants within a specialty, in accordance with Government Access Targets and the Trust’s Access Policy.

Working in this fast, progressive and friendly environment will provide job satisfaction and considerable interest to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

You should be resilient, motivated, organised, work well under pressure and have exceptional communication skills. You will work closely with the Senior Booking Clerk and CAU Team leader to ensure the Trust access policy is adhered to and that all admin related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met with remedial actions put in place when necessary.

You will support the Senior Booking Clerk and CAU Team Lead, liaising with other departments, patients and relatives, as well as clinical colleagues to ensure that patient admissions are appropriately planned and managed.

Working for our organisation

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
