Part-time, 30 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Audiological Scientist to join to the team here at the Portland to assist in the day-to-running of the Hearing & Balance Department. The post will involve performing paediatric hearing, balance and electrophysiological testing. This post would suit a band 6 Audiologist with an interest in Paediatrics with at least a years post qualification experience.
Duties & Responsibilties
Hearing assessments for new born to 18 years: Hearing tests, impedance testing and OAEs CAPD assessments Working alongside ENT consultants Assisting Audio-vestibular Physicians in hearing & Balance assessments Balance assessments: VNG, calorics and rotary chair Electro-physiological testing: ABRs, ASSR, c-VEMPs & o-VEMPs Explanation of results, where appropriateSkills & Experience
MSc or BSc in Audiology Knowledge of paediatric audiology Able to work effectively without direct supervision Good organisational skills Ability to work under pressure Able to work as part of a team Good phone manner
