Pastoral Officer

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

Status: Full time, Part time

GSL Education is looking for enthusiastic Pastoral Officer to work in school settings in Chesterfield.

Job Summary: Pastoral workers play a crucial role in supporting the overall well-being and development of students. Their responsibilities encompass a range of tasks aimed at addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and social support to students.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance students' personal and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' needs.
  • Address and manage pastoral issues, including behavior and attendance concerns.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a pastoral or similar supportive role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, social work, or a related field are desirable.
