The need for a Deputy Home Manager has arisen due to continued growth and the ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care. You will be working in an ever-changing, hands-on, and fast-paced environment. The role requires a good level of leadership, with the ability to multitask and have strong attention to detail. The role will suit someone with proven and demonstrable experience in a similar role within the residential care sector.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Managing Service Delivery: Fulfill the role of Deputy Manager within the home, supporting the delivery of the Certificate of Registration and the Statement of Purpose.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations (2015) and the Quality Standards.
  • Standards of Care: Establish and monitor high-quality standards of care, developing quality assurance measures.
  • Care Plans: Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of all young people's care plans.
  • Keyworkers: Ensure each young person has an allocated keyworker.
  • Participation and Voice: Encourage active participation of young people in home activities and ensure their voices are attended to in all decisions about their care.
  • Safeguarding: Act as the safeguarding lead, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Environment: Ensure the home environment meets the needs of the young people and complies with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication systems within the home and between the home and external partners.
  • Partnership Working: Promote working in partnership with young people, their families, other staff, and agencies.
  • Equality and Diversity: Implement the company's Equality and Diversity policies, ensuring individual needs of all young people are met.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of policies aimed at improving the service provided.
Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role within residential care.
  • Strong understanding of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations (2015) and the Quality Standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a drive to succeed.
  • Confident communicator with a good grasp of the English language both written and oral.
Hours:

Varied shifts, including the requirement to complete shifts as needed.
