Learning Support Assistant

Location: Sleaford
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in a school in Sleaford? This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team where you will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide dedicated support to students with additional needs. Your experience in supporting children will be invaluable as you help create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or group basis in class and during activities.
  • Assisting the teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
  • Adapting learning materials to meet the needs of students with different abilities.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Helping students develop social and communication skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEN and experience supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service.
