We have afantastic opportunity for a Building Works TeamLeader to join the StannahHomelifts team.

The Team Leaderwill be responsible for overseeing operations across the UK. Wewill recruit either one builder based in the North or one in theSouth, depending on the successful candidate'slocation.

Are you a natural leader with a strongbackground in construction, particularly within domestic dwellings?Do you have experience in loft conversions andcarpentry/joinery?

This newly created role aimsto lead the Homelift building works team, ensuring efficientservice delivery. You will oversee pre-build surveys andpreparatory building works to support the effective supply andinstallation ofHomelifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Actas the Team Leader to the building works team. Provide guidance andtraining to the team as necessary and manage within our peoplepolicies and procedures.
  • Carry out preparatorybuilding works in line with current buildingregulations.
  • Carry out pre-build surveysidentifying any shortfalls in the scope provided by the salesteam.
  • Work closely with the Technical SalesTeam Leader to ensure compliance with buildingcontrol.
  • Provide technical support to thebuilders and assist with queries from the building controlinspectors.
  • Attend training courses to maintainknowledge required to support thebuilders.
  • Training and development of thebuilding works team.
  • Work closely with UKOperations manager to role out new initiatives andimprovements.
  • Carry out joint sales/technicalsurvey visits as and when required.
  • Delivercustomer service consistent with our brand values and ethics, todeliver on promises and demonstrate that wecare.
  • Support for new starters and those whoare progressing within their roles, focusing on best practice, andcoaching team members to help encourage strongperformance.
  • Fully engage in continuousimprovement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectivenessof our operations, instilling a ‘right first time’ mentality.Develop a strong understanding of our products and processes toidentify and develop improved ways of working for the customer, ourbusiness andcolleagues.

Requirements

  • NVQLevel 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
  • Goodworking knowledge of current building regulations and structuralcalculation requirements.
  • Good workingknowledge of the building control applicationprocess.
  • Experience of leading a team ofbuilders.
  • Ideally additional skills in one ormore of the following: plastering, brick laying, electrics,plumbing, carpetfitting.
