DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team. This key role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and machinery by carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs. Your primary focus will be on minimising downtime and maximising the efficiency and performance of all site equipment, while also supporting general site facilities and building services. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Programme and modify PLC software to optimise machine performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Report safety concerns, hazards, and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Work with 3-phase systems, electrical control systems, and industrial machinery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify critical spares for maintenance operations.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential:
  • Experience with Industrial 3-phase systems, inverters, electrical control systems, and fault finding.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Health and safety-focused with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
  • Apprentice trained.
  • PLC programming and mechanical experience.
  • Certifications such as IPAF, Pasma, FLT, or Abrasive Wheels.
