For sellers, we offer a hassle free way to sell clothes by enabling people to send us a bag of unwanted clothing to our warehouse  - we then sort, process, photograph and list the items, marketing them to our large and growing audience on our own website as well on other platforms like eBay. 

We are the resale partner to major fashion brands from FARFETCH to FatFace, and won the Drapers sustainable fashion award for re-Commerce, beating others including eBay. We are a certified B Corp.

Our team of 60+ Thrifters process over 100K items of clothing each month in our Market Harborough Warehouse and we are growing. We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team to manage a second shift (2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday). 

Our leadership team has experience from Wayfair, JCB, the charity sector, Uber, Trouva, Olio, Deloitte, John Lewis, ASOS, Beyond Retro and others.

About the responsibilities:

  • Team performance
    • Day-to-day team management of your shift to ensure the consistent achievement of KPIs
    • Monitor team performance level (efficiency and quality) and take appropriate steps to support, coach and where necessary take remedial action
    • Be accountable for the efficient handover of his/her shift
    • Maintain overall discipline and to ensure all compliance with approved processes (SOPs)
    • Monitor levels of absence, sickness, and time keeping and to take required supportive & remedial action (work with HR to address employee relations issues) 
    • Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Team Manager and Site & Safety Manager to implement initiatives to improve team efficiency and performance 
    • Promote a culture of safe working and continuous improvement
  • Team deployment 
  • Support the Team Manager to plan and manage staffing requirements against each process to ensure we balance workflow & deliver on targets 
  • Team development and morale 
    • Creating an environment of respect amongst all team members through your example.
    • Provide the best possible employee relation by positive leadership, encouragement, motivation and regular communication.
    • Creating a continuous improvement environment to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has 2+ years experience in a warehouse team supervisor or lead role  
  • Takes a positive, consistent and fair approach to management 
  • Success-oriented and hold yourself accountable for delivering on targets
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast moving start-up environment 
  • You lead by example and enjoy motivating others
  • You enjoy solving problems, you like to find new ways to improve operations

Other information:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm for 2 - 3 months then 2pm - 10pm
  • United Kingdom work authorisation required
