Apprentice Finance Assistant - London

Job Title: Apprentice Finance AssistantSalary: 30000 per year Location: Wimbledon, London, England, SW19 5AGReporting to: Finance Business PartnerHours/working pattern: 40 Hours per week 9-5.30pm
We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Finance Assistant to join our team at Wimbledon.
You do not need to have any experience to apply for this vacancy as full training will be provided as part of the Apprenticeship
On completion of the Apprenticeship you will achieve the L2 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship and become a qualified Finance Assistant.
Daily Duties:
  • Management of the Accounts email inbox
  • Close Nexus accounting system weekly
  • Oversee the purchase order process, to ensure that the Goods Received Log (GRL) is always up to date so that costs are recognised in the correct period
  • Credit control for outstanding invoices, liaising with internal and external contacts as necessary
  • Completion of supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Month end accounting entries
  • Preparation of finance information for weekly forecasting calls
  • Supporting with new supplier set ups and tracking the process through to completion
  • nswer the telephone, deal with telephone enquiries, and take messages in a polite and professional manner
Skills:
  • Highly numeric and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong, dynamic team player
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • Good understanding of Finance principles, preferably including double entry accounting
