We are recruiting a permanent, (30 hours per week) Band 6 Bladder and Bowel Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Prescriber (CNSNP). Please contact Samantha Turnbull to discuss working pattern/ hours.

If you are an enthusiastic, motivated, and suitably experienced registered nurse with excellent communication skills who is passionate about the promotion of continence and committed to patient experience, we would love to hear from you.

Working autonomously and as part of the team, you will develop your clinical skills in the assessment of patients with Bladder/Bowel dysfunction, and the prescribing of urology appliances, as well as enhancing your skills in complex care planning and patient education.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Bladder and Bowel service you will ensure that patients receive high quality, effective and safe patient care at all times and will have the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.

The suitable candidate requires excellent communication and time management skills and will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to the needs of the service.

Community experience is desirable, but not essential as induction and training will be provided

The ability to travel in a timely manner is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Registered Nurse (Part 1) Current NMC Registration Bachelor's Degree Specialist post graduate qualification or equivalent experience Proficient level of knowledge in clinical speciality Knowledge of service improvement Able to undertake a literature search and critically appraise research papers

Desirable

Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience) Advanced clinical skills Non medical Prescribing (V300)
