About Operations & Claremont Ingredients:

The Operations division is at the heart of our customers’ experience here at THG. We Manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and food production consumer goods that we then dispatch to out customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative manufacturing and distribution centres. Claremont is a UK flavour company based near Stoke on Trent in the West Midlands, at this site we create and manufacture a complete range of liquid and powder flavourings for beverages, baked goods, ice cream and dairy products, sugar and chocolate confectionery and sports nutrition products and our aim is always to make sure that our flavours help to create finished food and drinks that consumers will want to came back for time after time. Our heritage in flavours goes back more than 30 years and draws on experience from all aspects of the food and flavour industries in a number of different countries. Through our long term approach to working with customers and by years of constant, careful work, Claremont has grown to be one of the leading flavour manufacturers in the UK.

Role: Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Claremont Ingredients - Silverdale Interprise Park/Unit 2B Aspect Court, Newcastle ST5 6SS

Core Hours: 8am - 4pm (Flexibility required depending on business/site needs)

Salary Range: £44-48,000

About the role:

Your objective, through modern maintenance systems, will be to maintain business as usual for the plant operations, to continuously improve availability/reliability of the equipment and to do so safely. The role will be a key part in the leadership of the technical agenda working closely with the Engineering manager. You will lead the planned, proactive and reactive maintenance activities and drive a continuous improvement culture.

You will have a good understanding of modern maintenance techniques as well as good working operational knowledge of a food Manufacturing site. You should also be capable of ensuring a quick reaction to daily business needs and be able to balance this against dedicating an appropriate amount of time and energy to developing improvement strategies and action plans. The Maintenance Lead will be at the heart of the sites technical agenda and is key to the performance and reliability of the Claremont ingredients site, Stoke on Trent.

Support the development, implementation, and execution of the sites Maintenance strategy.Reliability focused using modern techniques such as TPM, RCA, RCM and FMEA to increase equipment reliability. Delivering monthly improvement plansSupport the continuous improvement culture and failure analysis agenda for the site by driving CMMS data to develop action plans to permanently solve problems by addressing the root cause.Drive live plant issues through the systems.Effective Weekly and monthly planned maintenance planning based on compliance with the existing schedule and management of the preventative work order backlog to ensure 100% compliance is achieved and risks removed.KPI analysis reporting both weekly and monthly and ensure KPIs are met, results published to key stakeholder group.Control of planned maintenance outages and events.Build capability model with the team focusing on asset knowledge and maintenance processes.Support the delivery of engineering excellence growth in responsible categories.Complete risk assessments and manage Permit to WorksManage third party contracts effectively.Budget management and support, clear forecasting of spend and contribute to the development of annual budget projection. Role Requirements: Time served engineer with a minimum HNC qualification.Strong man management and leadership qualitiesExperience working with maintenance planning systems.Strong understand of H&S, minimum IOSH qualified.Experience with CMMS, management, deployment and auditingExcellent computer and communication skillsContinuous Improvement & Innovation will be at the heart of your workExperience of RCA processesExperience of food manufacturing and BRC requirements would be preferred.Cover for other UK sites may be required, Full clean driving license required
