About The Role

Location: Redruth, Cornwall

Salary £30,344.06 per annum Working 47.5 hours per week Monday - Friday Full PPE provided

What will I be doing?

You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors. 

The role will involve:

To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as bailing machines. To direct customers vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required. Assisting sampling operatives with collection of output samples. Assisting production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime. To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.

 
You will require: 

In order to make an immediate impact, we are ideally seeking an experienced plant operator, who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, but for the right candidate training can be given. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required. A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement. Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
