Location: Head Office Milton Keynes

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to support our Used Car and Aftersales Division to ensure the financial accuracy of reported results and driving improved financial performance. Reporting into the Finance Director and working closely with the Directors, you will be instrumental in coordinating the financial processes and best practice throughout the divisions and supporting the continuous future growth plans.


We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical thinker, as day to day you will be interpreting and sharing financial analysis with your teams ensuring the delivery of the necessary level of financial control with your divisions. This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a Dealership Accountant to step into the next stage of their career. You will be continually liaising with the operational teams on reporting metrics, making suggestions for continuous improvement, and always embedding company best practice.

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll be responsible for:

Driving the management of working capital within the division to minimise the risk of holding charges and asset provisions Assisting in the development, maintenance and implementation of financial systems, policies and procedures and ensuring compliance to all sites within the franchise Ensure the accurate and timely completion of administration processes, always complying with Group Accounting Policy, UK GAAP and regulations laid down by HMRC and other statutory bodies Managing and co-ordinating monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes Presenting and providing detailed insights on the financial health of the franchise through best practice and other relevant meetings Working with the Franchise Director to identify key performance improvement opportunities to maximise the profits of the businesses within the division, whilst also continuously looking for cost-reduction opportunities where necessary


Skills and experience required for the role of the Finance Business Partner:

Proven experience of meeting and exceeding commercial financial targets and objectives Demonstrable experience in an Automotive Accountant position. Experience in overseeing departmental budgets, controlling expenditure, and reviewing financial accounts Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate, influence and contribute effectively with large teams, peers, managers and in virtual team environments Strong leadership, coaching and people development focus with a successful track record of leading and motivating a team Requirement for travel; our growing group has dealerships located across the UK
