Job summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Pay, Reward and Job Evaluation Team in the People Directorate. This area of the business is busy and fast paced providing an interesting and ever evolving landscape to work in. The post holder will provide full and comprehensive range of administrative duties to the function, with particular emphasis on the Job Evaluation and Pay & Rewards.The role will enable the post holder to grow knowledge in the Pay and Reward services and will provide lots of opportunities to explore new topics and stretch themselves. We welcome innovative thinking to contribute to continuous service development so exploring new ways of working will always be encouraged.

Main duties of the job

To provide full and comprehensive range of administrative duties to the function, with particular emphasis on the Job Evaluation and Pay & Rewards. Process highly complex, confidential, sensitive, and contentious information in a timely manner such as pay, finance, audit, and HR issues, assessing what is shared and with whom.Provide direct administrative support to the Head of Pay Reward and ER including collecting and formatting data to present to the Pay Committee and HR & Finance meetings.To plan and arrange all JE panels in compliance with NHSBT JE protocols, making sure the Job Evaluation panel service meets the demand of the organisation, with a small pool of panel members to use This includes using initiative to react to demand by arranging panels at short notice or dealing with last minute panel member cancelations. Regularly extract and manipulate panel reports and ad hoc data from the IJES system for presenting to the People Directorate and at the JE ProtocolArrange and take formal minutes for a number of meetings including the JE Protocol, NHS Terms and Conditions and HR/Finance meetings.Run weekly and monthly reports for the Pay & Rewards function and disseminate as and when appropriate in accordance with Data ProtectionUse ESR and EASY to extract data to resolve pay queries. Produce statistics on the use of RRPs, Higher Starting Pay and Responsibility Allowance as and when required by the Head of Pay Reward & ER.
