Due to an increase in workload, our Colchester Transport branch is seeking  Delivery Drivers (known internally as Driver Guards).

per hour, rising to per hour after probation

Loomis UK are a cash handling company, helping manage the public flow of cash in society. From secure money safes to intelligent smart safes, cash in transit and cash processing, Loomis supports businesses throughout the UK with crucial cash and coin collection and delivery services, along with ATM management and replenishment service.

The Role

As a Loomis  Driver Guard,  you’ll have fantastic earning potential. Almost 10% of our drivers earn more than £45,000 and over 20% earn more than £40,000 (includes overtime** and shift pay).

**Overtime is readily available but not guaranteed.

By joining us as a  Driver Guard,  you will be at the front end of service delivery, collecting and delivering money and other valuables from a variety of clients and destinations. You will be the face of our business, presenting a professional image and ensuring that we maintain strong customer relations.

About You

We recognise that not everyone wants to work full time and we have the flexibility within our driving teams to be able to offer opportunities for part time drivers too.

To be successful as a  Driver Guard  at Loomis UK you’ll need to be more than just a driver. You’ll also need to be reliable, punctual, good with customers, colleagues and the public, a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will also need to have a flexible approach to working hours (including weekends and bank holidays), being happy to adapt to meet changing circumstances.

To enable you to carry out your role successfully, we will provide you with full training, your essential kit (including full uniform and Personal Protective Equipment where required), as well as continued development throughout your career with us.

We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:

You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history You must have a current UK driving licence You must be approved to attain an SIA licence. Joining us with an existing SIA licence will automatically qualify you for the post-probation rate of pay, as well as a £1,000 bonus. If you don’t hold one already, you will be required to attain a licence (paid for by us) during your probation period
