About The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with behavioural difficulties, working closely with teachers, parents and other support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include both classroom assistance and individualised interventions, ensuring each student receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Part-time/Full-time

Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion and engagement of students with behavioural challenges.
  • Provide targeted support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
  • Employ effective techniques to manage crises and behavioural incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
  • Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised behaviour support plans.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have prior experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of students and support different teaching strategies.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
