Purpose of the Role

As the Amazon Ads & Retail Media Director , you will have the product expertise to manage the delivery of our eCommerce and Retail Media proposition for the large and diverse collection of clients across dentsu’s go-to-market brands. You will be reporting to the Total Commerce Partner, and you will need to have an expert understanding of the ecommerce landscape, primarily focusing on the paid activity, but also have understanding regarding organic activity and how this benefits our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Providing strategies for clients to yield the greatest success from Amazon and Retail Media activity. Direct line management of three experienced Managers and manage an overall team of 12+. Become the senior point of escalation for key Retail Media clients Create best practice processes to improve efficiency in the team and reduce errors. Working with partners and internal specialists to define best practices and improve processes and ensure they are carried out at appropriate intervals. Ensuring internal accounts are audited regularly, identifying areas for improvement for individuals, client accounts & the department. Creating and maintaining a clear team structure with established reporting lines and account responsibilities. Building a team to support the growth of the product within the business. Taking complete ownership of training on Amazon and Retail Media and develop a best-in-class approach to upskill other staff members in the business. Feedback on errors to highlight individual, team and departmental weaknesses with the aim of providing solutions to make improvements with a target of zero revenue lost to errors.

Qualifications + Skills

Day-to-day experience of working in platform (Amazon Ads, Criteo, Citrus, etc.) A history of biddable channel experience (5+ years within a biddable channel) Previous experience of managing team of highly skilled individuals. Good communication and relationship building skill both with internal stakeholders, and third parties. The ability to understand and audit current capabilities, tools, teams, structures, and approach across the UK, and create an overarching go-to-market proposition for the channel underpinned by a consistent, best-in-class approach to delivery. Strong stakeholder management at all levels.
