Ferrero has an exciting 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity at our head office in Greenford, London, for a Head of Public Relations – Corporate Communications and Brand. In this role, you will support and deliver key initiatives consistent with Group strategy and aligned with business development plans for the UK&I. Your responsibilities will include:

You will conduct Corporate Communications programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image of Ferrero. Whilst leading and implementing programs and activities to increase public awareness of Ferrero and build its reputation. Additionally, you will manage and protect Ferrero's digital reputation across key social platforms and digital strategies.

As Ferrero Group's representative, you will engage with non-governmental and community organisations. Ensuring the protection and enhancement of Ferrero's reputation will be a critical part of your role. Also protect and promote the reputation of acquisitions in line with agreed SLAs. Moreover, you will manage the crisis process according to Group guidelines, ensuring a swift and effective response to any issues that arise.

As Head of Public Relations, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and protecting Ferrero's corporate and brand image in the UK&I market.

Market External Relations: You will develop and implement both local and Group strategies to boost Ferrero's reputation. By building strong, positive relationships with media outlets, consumer groups, community organizations, public officials, and institutions, you'll ensure effective external communication and a favorable public image. You’ll create and produce impactful campaigns to enhance our brands, using the best media channels to generate publicity. You’ll also lead insights and tracking programs, manage key PR events, and prepare the brand to respond to potential critics, all while reporting developments to Group IA&CC.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): You will align our CSR strategy with Ferrero’s values, proposing initiatives that advance both our brand and corporate reputation. You’ll direct significant CSR campaigns like the "Joy of Moving" program and support sustainability communication projects. By monitoring media sentiment and benchmarking against competitors, you’ll provide actionable insights and manage relationships with sustainability organisations. You’ll coordinate partnerships, sponsorships, and patronage initiatives to promote Ferrero’s corporate reputation, support the sales team on sustainability topics, and lead integrated media relations programs.

Press Relations: You will manage the integrated media relations program, directing the corporate and brand press office and overseeing digital media strategies. You’ll develop programs to systematically build Ferrero’s visibility and credibility, plan for crisis communications, and handle media relations for institutional and corporate issues, including CSR, nutrition, and safety. You’ll support all Ferrero-related companies and manage the incident and issues management process.

Sponsorships and Community Affairs: You will manage partnerships with NGOs and sports associations, devise strategic approaches to optimize participation and ROI, and lead programs to amplify reach and awareness. You’ll direct charitable contributions and community involvement initiatives, ensuring coordinated efforts with marketing to safeguard the company’s reputation and product image.

Corporate Communications: You will prepare reputational content and corporate arguments, manage communications towards external parties, and act as a spokesperson for the UK&I. Supporting the Director of Corporate Affairs and the Region Manager, you’ll develop programs to build Ferrero’s visibility, presence, and credibility. You’ll manage CSR communications with UK&I institutions and associations and strategically prepare protection manuals and training sessions for our brands.

You’ll provide corporate communications advice to executives and the group team on UK&I matters, help personnel prepare public speeches and articles, and ensure consistency and quality in corporate communication. You’ll track and resolve hot topics and consumer complaints, provide strategic counsel to the marketing team on advertising and PR calendars, and support customer development and trade PR efforts.

Budget Management: You will ensure proper management of the Ferrero Corporate & Brand Trust budget, aligning with business objectives. 

This comprehensive role is pivotal in upholding Ferrero's reputation through strategic public relations and corporate communications initiatives. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring Ferrero’s image remains strong and respected.
