About the Role

As Production Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing process. Your key responsibilities include:

Providing a strong and effective leadership, managing the production activities of your department, leading by example, driving and adhering to health, safety and environmental working practices in accordance with Wienerberger policies and procedures and legal requirements Play a key role in the managing, driving and implementation of process improvement projects and product cost improvement projects through to successful delivery Focus on continual improvement and best practice to support the production department drive positive change Optimise the Plants process performance and systems to help deliver consistent, repeatable results Ensure effective manufacturing operations which produce to target volumes, yield and efficiency, which delivers high customer service and cost control. Drive a culture of continuous improvement to bring operational transformation and culture change Collate and analyse production data to identify and drive opportunities to improve OEE Measure and evaluate results of improvement actions and cost gains/return in performance against investment Utilise problem solving techniques and tools (RCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone et ) to identify and resolve any manufacturing issues Support and promote a continual improvement culture in line with PIP objectives Perform and review Risk Assessments and develop Safe working procedures for the plant Work closely with quality and maintenance departments to support collaborative improvement culture and good communication. This includes providing regular training of the site teams Identify training requirements of staff and liaise with appropriate departments to ensure that it is actioned Investigate any accidents, injuries or near misses within 24 hours and communicate to all relevant parties Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times

Hours of Work: 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

About You

4 years plus experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a business or engineering/technical field 4 years leadership and managerial experience Experience of lean manufacturing techniques Good exposure and promotion to health & safety Preferable H&S qualification, IOSH, NEBOSH
