Senior Accountant – 12-month contract
Location – Belfast
Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm

Your new role 
Are you a skilled accountant with a passion for working in a dynamic environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity with a leading provider of scientific research and services to government bodies for a position of Senior Accountant.

Assist with accountancy-focused tasks for multiple finance systems improvement projects, in preparation for onboarding to a new finance and business management system.Re-structure and mapping of the organisations Chart of Accounts to match that of Account NIIntroduce and embed a No PO, No Pay policyReconciliations of all control accountsManagement and development where necessary of system interfaces (CORA, ISLAND, AFBI220, new PO requisition API)Manage the testing of new builds of CORA to ensure functionality of the Finance module.Liaise with the internal CORA admin team and external CORA supplier team to report and resolve functionality issues in relation with the Finance module.Lead, manage and motivate staff to ensure continuous improvement of the services they provide to the organisation.Ensure effective management of staff, including absence and performance management.

What you'll need to succeed 
  • Have successfully passed the final professional examinations and be a full current member of one of the professional bodies.
AND

  • Have at least two year’s practical experience, gained within the last five years, in one of the following: Financial Planning and Budgeting; Financial Accounting/Auditing, Financial Reporting and Costing or Development/Implementation of Financial Systems.
AND

  • Demonstrable excellent Excel skills, with practical experience of using VLOOKUPS and XLOOKUPS
