SQL Developer, Team lead – Remote – UK

We are hiring at ASE for an SQL Developer Team lead to join our team

The successful candidate can live anywhere in the UK, working remotely from home.

What your day will look like:

  • Lead and manage a team of overseas SQL developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers using T-SQL.
  • Perform SQL performance monitoring and optimization to ensure efficient database operations.
  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities to drive project success and foster team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL development with a strong understanding of database concepts.
  • Proven experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex business requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities to inspire and guide team members towards project objectives is a plus.
  • Experience in managing and leading a remote team of SQL developers, ensuring effective communication and coordination across different time zones.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in SQL development and database management.
  • Certification in SQL or related technologies is a plus.
