As a part of our team, this role will play a huge part in ensuring the IRT and contract partners are consistent with their response approach by owning and carrying out audits and reporting findings to improve performance. As well as supporting the IRT during incidents, this role will be the direct link to the Operational Control Centre and own all activities relating to waste water incidents for pumps, generators, nurse tanks, pollution response and tanker response when required.

You will build strong relationships throughout the company, collaboratively working across waste business areas to reduce tanker costs, by promoting investment and identify other ways to manage/contain flows. You’ll investigate root cause analysis and deep dives of high tanker spend sites, looking for opportunities to spend to save. You will also provide incident support and site supervision of tanker workstreams within your county and across the region as part of a dedicated standby rota whilst constantly looking for improvements in the way that we operate by driving out waste and inefficiency through continuous improvement (using the safer better faster toolkit and comm cells).
