The Role
KBR Government Solutions International Projects and Programmes (GSI P&P) operates multiple overseas projects for clients such as the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). The primary responsibility of the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Manager within GSI P&P is to provide guidance and support to project/local management and supervisors in the effective management of health, safety, security, and environmental matters.
Responsibilities
Offer technical expertise on HSSE matters
Assist in implementing and maintaining HSSE management systems
Supervise subcontractor safety practices
Lead the KBR Zero Harm Programme
Conduct site audits and report on HSSE incidents
Develop and deliver HSSE training
Liaise with international and local workers on HSSE issues
Maintain audit registers and produce monthly safety reports
What We Need
Relevant professional qualifications such as Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
Previous experience in Hard FM and construction-related activities (including CDM) on MOD estates
Ideally, possess significant expertise to serve as a subject matter expert in one or more key areas of health, safety, security, or the environment
Must have strong interpersonal, IT and research skills and the ability to positively influence management
