We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic IT Technician for a temporary position with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will support IT across multiple schools within the Trust, working with a diverse range of staff and students. If you’re passionate about technology and thrive in a dynamic, multi-site environment, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide first-line technical support to students and staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Support ChromeOS and a small Windows network infrastructure.
Google Workspace Administration:
- Manage Google Workspace accounts for students and staff.
- Implement security policies and provide training on Google Workspace applications.
- Deploy and manage Chrome devices.
Network Administration:
- Assist in managing cloud-based Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.
- Support printer infrastructure management and network security.
Hardware Maintenance:
- Maintain, repair, and manage IT equipment and asset tracking.
- Oversee the management of the iPad fleet using Meraki cloud.
Software Support:
- Install and update software applications.
- Provide software training and support when necessary.
Classroom Support:
- Assist teachers with integrating technology into lessons.
- Provide support for educational software.
Travel:
- Travel to different school locations to provide IT support.
- Mileage for travel between sites will be reimbursed.
General Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Trust’s safeguarding and health and safety policies.
- Participate in personal development and performance reviews.
- Ensure all duties align with the Trust’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies.
Requirements:
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Google Workspace and ChromeOS.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly.
