About the Role

High Street Surgery, Epping has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our small and friendly team on a part-time basis, for 24 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am - 5pm. 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Long-term disease management, diabetes and respiratory. To work with the practice team to achieve QOF Targets. Spirometry (experienced or we are willing to train). Cervical cytology. Childhood immunisations. Adult immunisations. ECGs. Wound care. Any other duties as appropriate within the practice nurse role. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications;  Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.

About Us Our team consists of 3 GPs, 2 practice nurses and two HCAs and we have a list size of 7899. We are a SystmOne practice. The successful candidate will be encouraged to continue their personal development and attend training as required.
