Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Non-patient Transport Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team of drivers in delivering a vital service across the South West. We can offer competitive rates of pay alongside enhanced rates for unsociable hours and weekend working/bank holidays.

You should be a highly motivated individual witth a strong work ethic. Training will be given for all driving schedules.

We have a delivery network covering Cornwall to Wiltshire. We operate a 7 day a week service days of the year, providing goods to Hospital settings, delivering items such as post, medical supplies and pathology supplies.

The position reports into a member of the Non-patient transport Leadership Team.

Responsibilities of the role:

Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Must be able to work to EU regulated hours
Must have good organisational and communication skills
Must have knowledge of the Road Traffic Act

Requirements of the role:

Must have an in-date UK driving licence
A positive can-do attitude
Professional, customer focussed approach is essential
To carry out additional duties as required and deemed necessary
To complete vehicle checks at the start and beginning of every schedule
Have good geographical knowledge

Working Pattern : hours per week.

Interview Date : Wednesday th October 4 

Pay - The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 3/ | NHS Employers).
